Easton Area High School's Mitch Minotti, a PIAA wrestling champ, gives verbal commitment to Lehigh University

FROM THE EXPRESS TIMES

Mitch Minotti, who became the 35th Easton Area High School wrestler to win a PIAA championship this past winter, has verbally committed to Lehigh University.

Minotti, a rising senior, won the 140-pound championship in the state Class AAA Championships in March. He finished the season 44-2.

"It's a great move by Mitch," Easton head coach Steve Powell said. "He'll make it official in November (on National Letter of Intent Day) and I don't see any problem with it. He's a great kid and he's anticipating a super senior year."

Verbal commitments are non-binding but a letter signing represents an official commitment by an athlete to a college.
