Milwaukee Fox affiliate WITI-TV (Channel 6) said Tuesday that Mary Stoker Smith, a La Crosse native and weekend newscast anchor in Philadelphia, will join the Fox 6 News team in late May as a co-anchor on weeknight newscasts.
Smith most recently was an anchor at KYW-TV in Philadelphia. She had also worked as an anchor/reporter in Rockford, Ill.
"A number of my family and friends live (in the Milwaukee area), making it an ideal place for me to call home," Smith said in a press release.
At WITI-TV, she will co-anchor weeknight Fox 6 newscasts alongside Ted Perry, Katrina Cravy and Brad Hicks, said Jim Lemon, Fox 6 vice president of news.
