The Parkland girls soccer team traveled to Nazareth for a battle of Lehigh Valley Conference heavyweights and emerged with a 2-1 victory in their season opener.
Tara Huber assisted on one first-half goal and then netted the game winner midway through the second half to account for the Trojans offense.
"The last four years we've either opened against Nazareth or Emmaus," Parkland coach Al Haddad said. "This was a tough start for us. We've only been outside five or six days. We just ran on adrenaline and got the job done."
Cassie Denger netted the Blue Eagles' goal off an assist from Charlotte Koerner.
