Nazareth police chief's future uncertain as borough council rebuilds force

Nazareth’s police chief told council tonight he feels “ridiculed” because he doesn’t know where he fits in the future of the department.

Since Chief Thomas Trachta’s contract expired in December 2011, the borough has retained him on a month-to-month basis. He took over as chief in October 2009.
