Nazareth wants to update police department conduct manual

Nazareth Borough Council wants a consultant to revise the borough's police procedure manual.

Mayor Carl Strye Jr. made the announcement during last week's council meeting. He said the borough would prefer someone outside of the department to review the manual, which was written by Chief Thomas Trachta and other officers, including a former department officer, in 2010.
