Nazareth defeats East Stroudsburg to advance to NorCo Legion championship series

The unheralded right fielder came through with a two-out RBI single to break a tie and Nazareth hung on for a 4-3 victory over East Stroudsburg to sweep their best-of-three Northampton County American Legion semifinal playoff series at Nazareth Borough Park. Nazareth was actually the visiting team but hosted the game because East Stroudsburg no longer has access to its field. Nazareth, the second seed and reigning three-time NorCo champion, plays top-seeded Bath in the best-of-three championship series beginning 5:30 p.m. Monday at Bath.
