Events planned around the Lehigh Valley area

PAT BROWNE will host a free community and family expo 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday, July 26 at Bucky Boyle Park, North Front and Gordon streets, Allentown. The event, held rain or shine, will highlight programs and services offered by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and various local organizations. Scheduled exhibitors include: Capital BlueCross-CHIP Program, Lehigh Valley Cops 'N' Kids, Lehigh Valley Health Network, Allentown Health Bureau, Boy Scouts of America/Minsi Trails Council, Lehigh Valley Children's Center, Inc., and Boys and Girls Club of Allentown. DaVINCI SCIENCE CENTER, 3145 Hamilton Blvd. Bypass, South Whitehall Township, will host a special visitor program, Moons: The Weirdest Planets in Our Solar System, 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 28. Bonnie Buratti, a senior NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory scientist originally from Bethlehem, will highlight what NASA has learned about the moons that orbit our solar system. EMMAUS MAIN STREET PARTNERS will host an all-you-can-eat clam bake 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday, July 29 at Emmaus Community Park, 1401 Shimersville Road. The last seating will be at 7:30 p.m. The menu will feature: clams, barbecue chicken, barbecue hamburger, pulled pork, turkey, hot dogs, hamburgers, sausage sandwiches, crab-cake sandwiches, chicken fingers, corn on the cob and a variety of salads.
