Muhlenberg College to start offering Jewish studies major

The decision stems from the growth and success of its Jewish studies minor, which has been offered at the school since 1988. It's the Allentown college's first new major in six years. "The minor has been very robust. Our courses are always filled, overflowing," said Hartley Lachter, director of the Jewish studies program. "It's something that's generated a lot of student interest and faculty interest."
