Former Central Catholic basketball star Michelle Marciniak will be featured prominently in a new ESPN documentary on longtime Tennessee women's basketball coach Pat Summitt.
Marciniak, of course, won a national championship as a member of Summitt's Lady Vols and the two have remained quite close over the years.  Marciniak has served as Summitt's spokesperson at various functions.
Summitt, 61, retired at the completion of the 2011-12 season, ending a 38-year run that included eight national titles and 16 SEC regular-season and tournament championships.
The documentary is called "Pat XO" and it will be debut at 8 p.m. on Tuesday as part of ESPN's "Nine for IX" series, which is celebrating the 40th anniversary of Title IX with nine stories spotlighting  women's athletes and women's issues.
The series debuted on Tuesday night with a look at Venus Williams and her quest for equality with men in tennis earnings.
If the preview snippets available at http://espn.go.com/espnw/w-in-action/nine-for-ix/ are any indication, the Summitt documentary will be quite moving.
