Nazareth Beat Northampton 49-15 and finish the Regular Season 8-2! Playoffs start next Friday night at Andy Leh Stadium at 7pm!

BREAKING NEWS:

From Jeremy Setzer

Nazareth Beats Northampton 49-15

Another game and another win for the Blue Eagles. Points were scored and records were broken. Nazareth jumped on the K-Kids early. On only the second offensive play for Nazareth Chuck Dibilo took off for a 60 plus yard TD. On the next drive Dibilo scored a second time tying the school record for most TD’s. The third TD was a block punt recovered but Richard Tonnies in the end zone. Touchdown number four was Dibilios third of the night and the 49th of his career, a new school record! Dan Harding would join Chuck in the record books a little later in the game when he threw a touchdown giving him the single season touchdown record. Nazareth would continue to pour it on all night. They were ahead 49-0 nearing the end of the game when Coach Melosky removed most of the starters and replaced them with the JV team. The JV team played well and only gave up 15 points to Northampton who was still playing all of their starters on senior night. Nazareth will now get ready for their first home playoff game since joining the LVC. It is still unclear as to who we will play but we do know it will be home and it will be Friday night at 7:00. Depending on how the rest of the seedings fall it is possible that Nazareth could be the number 2 seed giving us two home playoff games. The seeding and match ups will be released on Sunday morning so be sure to check back as I will be sure to keep you up to date.
