The Nazareth Area Chamber of Commerce is gearing up for the annual tree lighting ceremony on Dec. 2.
The event will be held at 7 p.m. in the circle in Downtown Nazareth and will feature entertainment by the Nazareth Area High School brass ensemble and Kids for America.
Every year, nearly 800 children turn out to welcome Santa and Mrs. Claus, who will arrive on a firetruck.
All children who attend this year's celebration will receive a Christmas cow toy, courtesy of Chick-Fil-A, and a candy cane from Wegmans in Lower Nazareth Township.
Food will be available for purchase. U.S. Rep. Charlie Dent and state representatives are expected to attend.
