Nazareth council is expected to solicit bids Monday for contractors interested in constructing the borough’s $2.5 million new pool.
If council members approve a motion to seek bids as expected, they could set themselves up to open the bids May 1, award them May 5 and break ground by May 19, according to borough Secretary/Treasurer Paul Kokolus.
Kokolus said Bethlehem architectural firm Spillman Farmer, hired to redesign the pool, recommended plastering and filling the pool before the winter weather arrives in late November.
