FROM THE EXPRESS TIMES

The Omaha Storm Chasers weren't supposed to be here.
The Kansas City Royals' Triple-A affiliate was the first team since the Pacific Coast League expanded to 16 teams in 1998 to qualify for the postseason with a losing record.
Yet when it was all said and done roughly two weeks later, the Storm Chasers were the ones popping the champagne after a 2-1 victory over Durham in the Triple-A National Championship Game in front of 9,602 on a crisp Tuesday evening at Coca-Cola Park.
