HILADELPHIA — Walt Roland, Brett Kosciolek, Tyler Duff and Gabe Mosser combined to shut out Tri-Cape for the final eight innings, leading Lehigh Valley to a 4-1 win Monday in a Carpenter Cup Classic baseball semifinal at Citizens Bank Park.
Tyler Buskirk (Pen Argyl) scored the first run for Lehigh Valley and drove in the eventual game-winner with an RBI double in the fourth. Lehigh Valley added two more runs in the sixth.
Lehigh Valley will go for its second Carpenter Cup title in the last three years and fourth overall when it faces the winner of Monday's second semifinal between Mercer County and Jersey Shore. The title game will be played Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Citizens Bank Park.
