FROM THE MORNING CALL
With temperatures heading lower, PPL and MetEd continue to chip away at the number of customers still without power in the aftermath of superstorm Sandy.
Met-Ed has restored power to about 240,000 customers, about 90 percent of those impacted by the storm. About 30,000 remain without power, according to a news release.
The crews continue to work as quickly and safely as possible, said Mike Doran, Met-Ed regional president
