NorCo Legion baseball playoff pairings set

Bath (18-3) and Easton (11-10) will meet in the best-of-three games quarterfinals starting Monday at Bath. Other quarterfinal series are No. 2 Nazareth (17-4) vs. No. 7 Freemansburg (12-9), No. 3 East Stroudsburg vs. No. 6 Kemp (13-8) and No. 4 Roseto (14-7) vs. No. 5 Palmer (13-8). Palmer won a tiebreaker over Kemp for the fifth seed. Game 1 and Game 3, if necessary, will be at the field of the higher seed and Game 2 will be at the lower seed. The quarterfinals will be played Monday through Wednesday starting at 5:30 p.m. The best-of-three semifinals will be played Thursday, Friday and Saturday (1 p.m. start), and the championship series will be July 16, 17 and 18. All games in the Kemp-East Stroudsburg series will be played at Kemp's home field at Stroudsburg High School. FINAL STANDINGS East Division -- Roseto 14-7, Palmer 13-8, Easton 11-10, Wind Gap 10-10-1, Wilson 6-15. South Division -- Freemansburg 12-9, Wanderers 11-10, Jeffs 9-12, Hellertown 8-12-1, Lehigh-West Bethlehem 5-16. North Division -- East Stroudsburg 16-5, Kemp 13-8, Big Pocono 7-14, Birches 5-16. West Division -- Bath 18-3, Nazareth 17-4, Northampton 8-13, Lehigh Township 5-16. Note: Lehigh Township must appeal to the league to return in 2013 because of too many forfeits in 2012.
