http://sportsmediajournal.com/ Braves/Cardinals Sunday MLB on TBS- This Sunday’s Sunday MLB on TBS telecast will feature the Atlanta Braves at the St. Louis Cardinals. First pitch is at 2:00p.m. ET with Brian Anderson , Ron Darling and John Smoltz on the call. Rangers/Angels on ESPN Sunday Night Baseball- Two of the favorites in the AL West heading into the season square off this weekend on ESPN’s Sunday Night Baseball. Dan Shulman, Orel Hershiser, and Terry Francona have the call at 8:00p.m. ET as the Texas Rangers take on the Los Angeles Angels. NASCAR on Prime Time on Fox- The next run in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series will air tomorrow night on Fox Sports. Chris Myers, Darrell Waltrip and Michael Waltrip will have pre-race coverage from Darlington beginning at 6:30p.m. ET. Mike Joy will join Darrell Waltrip and Larry McReynolds to call the race while Dick Berggren, Steve Byrnes, Krista Voda and Matt Yocum patrol the pits. Lampley Boxing Program Debuts this Weekend on HBO- This Saturday night HBO Sports will debut The Fight Game with Jim Lampley. The 30 minute program will delve into the storylines, newsmakers and issues that are top-of-mind in boxing. Guests of the premier will include; promoters Bob Arum (Top Rank) and Richard Schaefer (Golden Boy Promotions); an interview with British boxing star Amir Khan and his trainer Freddie Roach; guest segments with Roy Jones Jr. and Max Kellerman; and Lampley’s first-ever “Gatti list” compilation (boxing’s most entertaining fighters). The first episode will air Saturday at midnight. Soccer Hall of Famer Harkes Joins SiriusXM Radio- U.S. National Soccer Hall Famer John Harkes has been tapped by SiriusXM Radio to serve as host of its daily soccer show. The Football Show, which Harkes will host with soccer experts Charlie Stillitano and Neil Barnett airs weekdays at 7:00am ET on Sirius channel 92, XM channel 207 and on the SiriusXM Internet Radio App for smartphones and mobile devices. SiriusXM Will Produce Special Mother’s Day NASCAR Program- SiriusXM will present a special NASCAR-themed Mother’s Day special, Dialed In to Mother’s Day, hosted by Claire B. Lang and Carol Bickford, mother of four-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion Jeff Gordon. The program will air tomorrow at 2:00pm ET on SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, channel 90. The program will air live from will air live from Darlington Raceway, site of this weekend’s races, and will celebrate the relationships between several of NASCAR’s star drivers and their mothers. Summitt to Receive Ashe Award at ESPYS- ESPN has announced that Tennessee Women’s Head Coach Emeritus Pat Summitt will be the recipient of the Arthur Ashe Courage Award at the 2012 ESPYS. Summitt is the all-time winningest coach, man or woman, in NCAA basketball history. Last year Summitt was diagnosed with early onset dementia, “Alzheimer’s Type,” at the age of 59. She will now face her toughest opponent as she plans to deal with her diagnosis by raising awareness and research dollars while battling the public stigma this illness can sometimes cause. The ESPYS take place on July 11. D.C. United/Houston Dynamo MLS Match on NBCSN- This weekend’s MLS Game of the Week on the NBC Sports Network will feature D.C. United at the Houston Dynamo. Arlo White and Kyle Martino will have the call of the game. Russ Thaler will handle pre-game, halftime, and post-game duties. Coverage begins at 4:30p.m. ET. Latest SEC Storied Documentary to Air on ESPNU- ESPN Films has announced that the latest in its SEC Storied documentary series will feature the story of track and field athlete Lolo Jones. The film looks at the obstaces Jones has had to face to make the Olympic squad. The debut of Lolo will take place Monday, May 21st at 7:00p.m. ET on ESPNU. Former President Clinton to Make an Appearance on Feherty- Former President Bill Clinton is slated to be the next guest of the Golf Channel’s Feherty program. In upcoming episodes David Feherty is slated to interview business magnate Donald Trump; golfers John Daly, Graeme McDowell and Fuzzy Zoeller; and golf commentators Peter Alliss and Roger Maltbie. The show with Preisdent Clinton airs Monday at 10:00p.m. ET
