Lehigh wins, Moravian loses in first day of softball tournaments

http://blogs.mcall.com/groller/ FROM KEITH GROLLER Lehigh beat Lafayette 2-0 in its first game of the Patriot League softball tournament on Thursday, but Bethlehem's other collegiate team wasn't as fortunate as Moravian fell to Centenary College 3-0 in its first game of the NCAA Division III Union, N.J. Regional. Centenary junior Roxanne Keelan pitched a five-hit shutout to beat Moravian, which had won five previous first-round NCAA games. Moravian, 32-10 and seeded second, will try to stay alive in the double-elimination tournament against Misericordina at noon on Friday. This is Moravian's 14th NCAA appearance in the last 15 years. They are now 10-14 in opening-round games and 32-28 overall in NCAA play. For more, check his blog!
