All-time Allen basketball great Ray Barbosa returns to the area as a coach

The former Allen High star, who helped the Canaries reach two District 11 title games in 2002 and 2003 (winning district gold in 2002) and was named Morning Call Player of the Year twice, has been named the new boys basketball coach at Lincoln Leadership Academy, the charter school located Ray Barbosaon Allentown's east side. Barbosa replaces Al Blount, who resigned after guiding the program to a 12-12 record and a District 11 Class A playoff win in its first year of existence.
