Parkland cracks the Top 10 in the 4A boys hoops state rankings

FROM KEITH GROLLER

Beating state-ranked Emmaus and Freedom in the same week has vaulted Parkland into the state boys basketball rankings for the first time this season. Emmaus lost two in a row, but somehow stayed in the rankings at No. 10. Freedom's first loss knocked the Patriots out of the top 10.

In 2A, Salisbury moved up one spot from No. 9 to No. 8.

What's interesting is that there will be two No. 1 teams playing on Sunday in the Lehigh Valley Hoop Group Showcase at Parkland.

Neumann-Goretti, the No. 1 team in 3A, and Constitution, the No. 1 team in Class A, are both on the four-game card as is Parkland.

More on that special four-game card later in the week.

Here's the complete state rankings courtesy of Michael Bullock of the Harrisburg Patriot-News.
