Johnny Bench coming to the Lehigh Valley to speak for LIfePath

Ann Marie Surovy works fast when it comes to lining up the keynote speakers for the annual Lifepath and PICPA (Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants) Thanksgiving Benefit and Awards Luncheon annually held on the day before Thanksgiving at the Holiday Inn and Conference Center in Fogelsville.

She has snagged Hall of Fame catcher Johnny Bench for this year's event, which will take place on Weds., Nov. 21 (yes Thanksgiving is as early as it ever can be) this year.

Bench follows in a long line of outstanding sports personalities who have spoken at this event.

In recent years, Mike Schmidt, Dick Vermeil, John Kruk, Mike Ditka and Bill Walton have been the speakers. Walton was superb this past November.

This will be the 15th anniversary event this November. Tickets aren't available yet. Ann Marie just wants everybody to note the date and the special guest
