Great Pennsylvania Teams from The Past

Great Pennsylvania Teams from The Past

It is with great pleasure that the Pennsylvania Football News welcomes back Hal Wilson, a favorite among the football fans who previously subscribed to the Pennsylvania Football News hard copy newspaper.

Wilson's popular articles featured some of the greatest football teams to play in the Keystone State and he has decided to continue to share his work on the World Wide Web.

In 2008, Wilson was inducted into the Delaware County Hall-of-Fame as a historian, an honor that is truly well deserved.

For the Pennsylvania Football News, he has written articles relating to the following teams and hopefully will add more as the season progresses.

The teams featured are as follows:

1923 Lower Merion 1958 Easton
1923 Washington 1959 Braddock
1927 Hurst 1965 Uniontown
1931 Clairton 1969 Mount Carmel
1938 Kulpmont 1972 Pennsbury
1942 Windber 1989 Upper St. Clair
1947 New Kensington 1992 Cumberland Valley
1952 Aliquippa 1948 Ridley Township

Click on the team above and that will take you to the article and a look back into a part of Pennsylvania high school football history.

Enjoy a look at the past, football fans. It will be a pleasure!
