Emergency Test

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), thru President Obama, have mandated the first nationwide test of the Emergency Alert System (EAS) on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at 2:00 PM lasting 30 Seconds. The purpose of this test is to assess the reliability and effectiveness of the National EAS as a public alert mechanism.
