Bomb threat found in Saucon Valley Middle School girls bathroom, superintendent says

FROM THE EXPRESS TIMES

A bomb threat was found today at Saucon Valley Middle School in Lower Saucon Township, according to an e-mail message sent this afternoon to school district parents.

The written threat warned of a bomb at the school on Thursday, according to Superintendent Sandra Fellin.

In an audio recording included in the e-mail, Fellin said, "This message is to inform you that a note was found in the middle-school, eighth-grade girls bathroom.

The note stated, 'I hate Saucon,' with the date 11-17-11 and then the word 'bomb threat,' she said.

Fellin said, "Law enforcement has been working and administration is working on the issue.

The building and the entire campus will be cleared through security measures and will be open for school tomorrow. If you wish to keep your child home, please send a note the following day."

The Polk Valley Road campus includes Saucon Valley high school, middle school and elementary school, as well as the administration building.
