Nazareth man charged in Camden County, N.J., robbery of elderly woman

FROM THE EXPRESS TIMES

A Nazareth man accused of stealing an elderly woman's purse in Camden County, N.J., more than a year ago was charged this week with the crime.

Police tied Brad A. Phillips, of the first block of Easton Road, to the robbery using fingerprints and photographs, according to a Gloucester County Times report. They arrested him Tuesday as he left his borough apartment, police said.

In August 2010, Phillips, 32, allegedly knocked an 85-year-old woman to the ground outside a Stratford, N.J., pharmacy and took her purse. He had a steel bar concealed under his shirt during the robbery, police said.

He is being held at Lehigh County Prison pending extradition to Camden County.
