Madhav Valla and Andrew Ma beat Logan Bernard and Jack Dealtrey, 6-1, 6-1, in an all-Moravian Academy District 11 Class AA doubles final today at Westend Racquet Club.
Last season, Valla paired with Eric Michaelis to win the championship over Bernard and Dealtrey.
"It feels awesome to win two years in a row," Valla said. "They are two very different guys. Andrew's definitely one of my best friends and Eric was like a brother to me. It's really great winning with people that you communicate well with and everything."
Top seed Ma and Valla did not lose a set the entire tournament and dropped only 12 games in five matches.
It was the fourth straight and the sixth doubles championship in the last seven years for Moravian Academy.
"It shows that we have depth," coach Tom Schoeninger said. "It shows that we just don't have a one. We have a one, a two and a three. They are guys that can play and there are guys behind these guys that can play, too, and could be in this tournament."
