Domonic Brown will be joining Lehigh Valley IronPigs

Various reports say that Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Domonic Brown will join the Lehigh Valley IronPigs on Monday.

Brown, who started the year on the disabled list after breaking his hand in spring training, has recently been playing games with Single-A Clearwater.

The sources said Brown was reinstated off the DL and has been optioned to the Pigs.

The top prospect in the organization according to Baseball America has played in five games for the Threshers.

He is hitting .368 (7-for-19) with a pair of home runs, four RBIs and four runs scored.

Brown played in 28 games with the IronPigs last season, hitting .346 before being promoted to Philadelphia.

He received 62 at-bats in 35 games with the Phillies during that stretch, going .210. Brown hit two homers and drove in 13 runs.

In related moves, Brian Bocock was also activated from the diabled list and assigned to Lehigh Valley. To clear roster space for Bocock and Brown, the IronPigs send Matt Miller to Reading and release Rob Hudson.

The Pigs (13-11) are currently on a three-game win streak after beating Buffalo 7-2 on Sunday afternoon.

Monday's game is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. at Coca-Cola Park.
