AMERICAN DIABETES ASSOCIATION, Bethlehem needs volunteers for its diabetes walk Oct. 23. Several planning committee positions are open, including volunteer and team recruitment, and logistics. Contact: Dawn Fernandez, 888-342-2383 x4625, dfernandez@diabetes.org.

AMERICA ON WHEELS, Allentown is requesting docents/tour guides to escort visitors through the museum on 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays and Saturdays and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday and some evenings for special events. CENTER FOR HUMANISTIC CHANGE, Bethlehem is looking for a program assistant who evaluate of our programs. Duties include grading pre-and post-tests for various classes, tabulating results on a provided tally sheet, and generating an Excel spreadsheet showing results for each county. DIAKON HOSPICE ST. JOHN, Allentown needs clerical help in their office with bereavement documentation and calling support along with visiting patients both in facilities and in homes. Must be 18 or older. Contact: Karen Kinn, 610-391-2301,kinnk@diakon.org,

SECOND HARVEST OF LEHIGH VALLEY needs volunteers to pick fresh fruits and vegetables at local farms in Northampton, Lehigh, and Monroe counties and/or transport them to Second Harvest or local food banks, shelters, and other receiving agencies. Dates/times vary according to availability of local leftover produce. Youth volunteers must be at least 14 or have completed eighth grade. SENIOR CORPS RSVP for persons 55 and older is looking for people willing to serve on the board of a pre-kindergarten to third grade schools for children with special needs.
