Geena Badolato of Mt. Lebanon in suburban Pittsburgh pitched a perfect game against Central Bucks South on Friday to lead her team to a 1-0 victory and the PIAA Class AAAA softball championship.
Badolato struck out 10 during the first of four championship games Friday at Shippensburg University.
Tess Apke homered in the first inning to give Mt. Lebanon and Badolato the only run they needed.
Pitcher Fran Carrullo gave up four hits and a walk while striking out six for Central Bucks South.
Mt. Lebanon finished its season at 20-3 while Central Bucks South wrapped up a 19-4 season.
