American Furniture and Mattress in Nazareth closing

American Furniture and Mattress in Nazareth is closing, and liquidation will begin Thursday.

The business, founded in 1999 by Robert Hahn and his family, has prided itself on providing high-quality home furnishings at low prices, according to a news release.

"We have price reductions of up to 75 percent on every item in the store including living rooms, bedrooms, dining sets, recliners and accent items. Over $3 million dollars of fine home furnishings will be sold as quickly as possible at the lowest prices in the store's history," Hahn says. "Every item in our multi-million dollar inventory will be sold, regardless of cost to allow us to reorganize. This is a wall-to-wall total liquidation sell-off to allow us to restructure our business.”

Hahn says he is disappointed about the showroom and warehouse closing but hopes to reorganize in the future. All open customer orders will be filled, and the store will continue to service all products that have been sold.

"The decision to close the store was difficult. I would like to continue serving the Lehigh Valley by providing the largest independently owned home furnishing's retailer of quality furniture and mattresses," Hahn says. "This event will give the area residents the opportunity to own fine home furnishings at once-in-a-lifetime savings while allowing me to show my appreciation for their past support for me and my family."
