The Liberty High School softball team this afternoon maintained its undefeated league record with a 5-1 win over Parkland.
Liberty kept Parkland scoreless into the seventh inning.
Erin Wilson struck out three for Liberty and walked one. Junior center fielder Dior George homered to lead off Liberty's first inning and assisted on two double plays.
Liberty is 7-1 for the season, with the Hurricanes' only loss so far to Southern Lehigh. Nazareth is the only other unbeaten Lehigh Valley Conference team.
"Our team is really coming together because we're starting to trust each other more," said Wilson, who allowed five hits and improved to 5-1 on the season. "We're winning a lot so there's not much more I could ask for. We're really bonding now and getting to know each other and how we play. Our confidence builds every day."
Parkland's record is 3-3.
