With the new Middle School, local residents were to have a traffic light installed at East Lawn Road and Schoeneck/Friedenstahl Road due to anticipated increased traffic. It was to have been installed with the opening of school.
The Express-Times reports (read it here) that the light will be delayed up to a year, because PADOT has rejected the initial plan and is requiring left turn lanes at the intersection.
There have been several accidents at the intersection, the latest of which was this past Wednesday.
