Television's most entertaining night of the year brought the house down
as the TV Land Icon Awards in Celebration with Entertainment Weekly
taped Sunday night at The Barker Hangar in Santa Monica. Premiering
Sunday, April 17 at 9pm ET/PT on TV Land, the awards show kicked off
with host George Lopez saying that his first pitch to the network, Comedians in Cars Getting Churros,
was passed on. The ceremony honored John Stamos with the Timeless Icon
Award, Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele with the Comedy Duo Icon
Award, Debbie Allen with the Trailblazer Icon Award and The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story,
with the Instant Icon Award. The night also featured a tribute to the
late comedic legend, Garry Shandling presented by longtime friend, Bob
Odenkirk.
