FROM MORNING CALL
Easton missed its opportunity to get a share of the Lehigh Valley Conference football title, but the quest for a new crown begins next week for the Red Rovers.
Thanks to three big touchdowns by Joey Ford, Easton rinsed out the bad taste from last week's bitter loss to Whitehall and pulled away from Nazareth for a 44-24 win Friday night at Andy Leh Stadium.
While Parkland and Whitehall won their games and became LVC co-champs, the Red Rovers (8-2, 7-2 LVC) will turn their attention to the next phase of the season. Easton will be the No. 5 seed and play at No. 4 Wyoming Valley West (9-1) when the District 2-4-11 subregional begins next Friday.
