State playoff games keep coming to Pates Park

Brandywine's PIAA Class 2A softball semifinal game against District 2's Holy Redeemer will be played at Pates Park at 6 p.m. Monday.

Both teams played their quarterfinal-round games at Pates on Thursday.

Also, the resumption of the PIAA 3A quarterfinal between District 2's Valley View and District 3's Twin Valley has been scheduled for 9 a.m. Saturday at Pates.

Play was halted on Thursday night with Valley View leading Twin Valley 5-1 in the top of the fourth inning. Two Twin Valley runners were on base with one out when the District 11 umpiring crew in charge of the game decided that the conditions were too poor to continue.
