UNIVERSITY PARK, PA – Johnsonburg is a tiny town of approximately 2,500 people, located two hours northeast of Pittsburgh and two hours south of Buffalo.
In a span of three months, Johnsonburg High School’s basketball team and baseball team both reached the PIAA Class A championship game.
Indeed, a remarkable feat.
The top six players on the Rams’ basketball team that lost to Vaux, 83-63, in the title game at the Giant Center in Hershey, are starters on the baseball team, which beat Canton, 5-0, Friday to claim the first PIAA championship in school history.
