Sage Karam took another big step Saturday on his path toward driving on the Indycar Series.
Karam, 18, of Nazareth, won the Milwaukee 100 for his first Firestone Indy Lights victory. The Indy Lights series is considered the feeder system to the IZOD IndyCar Series.
Karam, who will be a senior at Nazareth High, started from the pole position but was passed on the first lap. He regained the lead with 44 laps remaining and won by 1.0808 seconds over Carlos Munoz.
