http://sportsmediajournal.com/ NBC Sees Huge Ratings for NHL Opening Day- NBC Sports reported yesterday that Saturday’s two-game regional coverage of the opening of the NHL season scored a 2.0 overnight rating, the highest for a non-Winter Classic regular season game since 2002. The rating was 67% over the 2011-2012 regular season average. Thunder/Clippers this Week’s Fan Night Presentation on NBA TV- Tomorrow night’s Fan Night telecast on NBA TV will feature the Oklahoma City Thunder at the L.A. Clippers. Tip-off is at 10:30p.m. ET. Here is the slate of games from which fans can select the Fan Night contest for January 29th: Golden State Warriors @ Cleveland Cavaliers; Milwaukee Bucks @ Detroit Pistons; Dallas Mavericks @ Portland Trail Blazers; or New Orleans Hornets @ Los Angeles Lakers. Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel Returns Tomorrow- HBO Sports welcomes the return of Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel tomorrow night. The program, which will debut at 10:00p.m. ET will look at the anxiety disorder of Rockets draft pick Royce White; the sports influence of former 2 Live Crew member Luther Campbell in Miami; and the story of Pakastani athlete Maria Toor Pakay. The program will also re-play a segment from 2011 looking at the Harbaugh brothers.
