NBC has renewed Thursday night comedy The Good Place for a
13-episode third season. The series is still currently in the middle of
its second season, with new episodes set to return on January 4,2018. The Good Place
stars Ted Danson, Kristen Bell, William Jackson Harper, Jameela Jamil,
Manny Jacinto and D'Arcy Carden. Michael Schur, David Miner, Morgan
Sackett and Drew Goddard executive produce. The Good Place is
produced by Universal Television, Fremulon and 3 Arts Entertainment. The
show follows Eleanor Shellstrop (Kristen Bell), an ordinary woman who
enters the afterlife, and thanks to some kind of error, is sent to the
Good Place instead of the Bad Place (which is definitely where she
belongs). While hiding in plain sight from Michael (Ted Danson), the
wise architect of the Good Place (who doesn't know he's made a mistake),
she's determined to shed her old way of living and earn her spot.
