TV Land has reinvented the network's annual awards ceremony for 2016, dubbing it the TV Land Icon Awards
in Celebration with Entertainment Weekly. The most passionate magazine
about impactful, cutting edge TV will be coming together with the
network to make this year's celebration bigger than ever. The TV Land
Icon Awards honors the very best of all television and entertainment.
Renowned comedian George Lopez, who stars in TV Land's new original
comedy series Lopez, will host the event, taping Sunday, April 10
at The Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, CA, and airing on Sunday, April
17 at 9pm ET/PT on TV Land. Honoree announcements are forthcoming. TV
Land comedy Lopez explores the real George Lopez we rarely get to
see, pushed and pulled between the worlds of race, class and fame, yet
always having a hard time fitting in. The series premieres next
Wednesday, March 30 at 10pm.
