Dear Nazareth Area School District Community,

The anticipated excitement that typically accompanies the beginning of the school year has been dimmed for our school community by tragedy, sadness and loss. This week we learned of the tragic loss of Nazareth Area High School student Austin Bringenberg. Please join us in including Austin’s family and friends in your thoughts and prayers. He will be remembered fondly by his family, friends, teachers, and all who knew him.

On Friday August 22, 2014, the Nazareth Area High School counseling office will be open, with counselors available for students from 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Please encourage your student to visit the counseling office if you feel he/she could benefit from assistance with the processing and grieving of Austin’s passing. Additionally, we know that some of our students are coping with other recent losses of family members and friends, as well as the passing of Mr. Boandl. This counseling office assistance is open to all who may benefit from the support.

When school opens on Monday, we will have counselors available all day to assist students as well. Please contact your student’s School Counselor with any individual concerns you may have about your student’s return to school.

With Thoughts of Peace, Courage and Comfort,

NASD Administration.

NAIS Families,

Welcome back, and to our new parents and students, welcome! School starts for all students on Monday, August 25th at 8:10am. All fourth grade students should report directly to the auditorium for orientation. I hope everyone is eager to start the school year and have another great year of learning. Until August 25th, have a great weekend!

Mr. Yanek
Have a great weekend!

Talk to you Monday!
