Simpson is looking to put it all together this year for the Red Rovers while most importantly staying healthy. The speedy back rushed for more than 1,100 yards and 14 touchdowns in each of the last two seasons. Easton has a strong offensive line and will be breaking in a new quarterback, which points toward Simpson shouldering the load.
“Shane’s the complete package: receiver, running back, whatever you want,” coach Steve Shiffert said. “This is a big year. He has improved tremendously from last year in terms of size. He’s gained weight, he’s gained speed, and definitely the way he’s approaching practice is a lot more positive.”
