Les Sharp spent a paltry $15 nearly 20 years ago for an Ebonite Gyro 1 urethane ball. Ever since, it's been Sharp's go-to ball fitting his simple straight down and in technique.
It took many years but finally his $15 investment paid dividends as the 61-year-old nailed down two huge honors in one fell swoop.
The Sciota resident was in a substitute role in the Saturday Night Hit or Miss League at Blue Valley Lanes where he put up his first-ever 300 game after nearly rolling one the game prior as well as a gigantic 832 set.
