Back on April 1st when I Started coaching i had no idea how it would turn out. I Thought in my head ''is it really possible'' in a wheelchair. let me tell you, don't let anything tell you not to try something because you never know unless you try it if you are good at the job or not. According to the players i must not be bad because they all say i am like their team minority!! The past 2 months been like a dream come true!!!!! Even back in March i never thought i would ever ever be on the sideline coaching kids up and down the field. I Enjoyed every second of it. Without the support of Nicole Barna Jenny Nolan DAngelo and Cindy Getz and Jeremy Setzer and the support from the Administration Joe Celin, Joe Slimp. and Dr. Dennis Riker and Alan Davis who backed me up and gave me this opportunity to coach too without any hesitation. They weren't afraid to have somebody in a wheelchair on the sidelines. It means a lot to me that they all support me!!!!! Also to the School Board President Lorin Bradley who daughter is on my lacrosse team. Without Mr Bradley backing me up, it would not be possible either. It been a totally blessing. I BELIEVE IN GOD!! NEVER SAY NO TO NEW OPPORTUNITIES BECAUSE YOU NEVER KNOW!!!!!!!!!! My favorite thing to do and i don't mean to defend EWMI in any way, My dream is to work with KIDS on a regular basics. I Would do anything in the world for that opportunity!!!! I Even think my EWMI Friends know that, they see it in my heart, they even bring it up to me when i am there with them every now and then, they know i love them but they also know i love KIDS!!!!
I am excited to coach FIELD HOCKEY THIS FALL WITH THE MOST KINDEST GIRL IN THE WORLD MARISSA ROTZ, SHE IS SO KIND AND ALWAYS CALM, I DON'T THINK I EVER SEEN HER YELL AT ANYBODY! I LOVE MARISSA TO DEATH AND I AM SO EXCITED THAT SHE IS GIVING ME A CHANCE TO HELP HER TEAM AT HOME GAMES AND IN THE PLAYOFFS AWAY GAMES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I AM ALSO GOING TO BE BACK WITH JENNY NOLAN AND COACH REGIS AND NICOLE NEXT SPRING TO COACH GIRLS LACROSSE AGAIN!! I AM 100 PERCENT SURE JENN WILL HAVE ME BACK ON HER STAFF ESPECIALLY AFTER WHAT THE KIDS TOLD ME ABOUT THE TEAM MINORITY HAVING ME ON THE TEAM!! HOPEFULLY NEXT YEAR ON OPENING NIGHT I AM NOT IN THE HOSPITAL GETTING MY GALL BLADDER TAKEN OUT. THAT WAS WORST TIME TO BE HAVING SURGERY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WITHOUT THE PLAYERS SUPPORT IT WOULD NOT BE POSSIBLE EITHER, THEY WOULD NOT LET ME COACH THEM IF THEY DIDN'T LIKE ME FOR ANY UNKNOWN REASONS.
LAST FRIDAY I GOT TO RUN LACROSSE PRACTICE SOLO. THAT WAS A BIG OPPORTUNITY TO ME!! THAT MEANT A LOT TO ME TO HAVE THAT KIND OF SUPPORT TO RUN PRACTICE SOLO!!!!!!!!!!!
