Strikeouts don't always tell the full story.
The Emmaus High School baseball team struck out 16 times in tonight's Lehigh Valley Conference semifinal matchup with Liberty, but it never seemed to faze the Green Hornets.
Taking advantage of two errors, four walks and two wild pitches in the third inning, Emmaus scored four times en route to a 6-3 win over the Hurricanes at Hackett Park.
"We made enough plays to win the game," said Emmaus coach John Schreiner. "It was one of those games where we just happened to have one big inning. It changes the game."
The Green Hornets will take on Parkland in the championship game Wednesday night at 7 p.m. at Hackett Park.
