The Lehigh Valley Hoop Group Showcase is a high school basketball tradition that now enters its 19th year. It flaunts the Lehigh Valley’s premier basketball talent, and brings in teams from outside the area and state, to share in the exhilarating atmosphere of Lehigh Valley High School Hoops. This year’s showcase is set for Sunday January 26th, at Parkland High School.
Tip off is set for noon as Abington Heights will take on Bethlehem Central Catholic. The second game of the day pits Philadelphia power-house, Roman Catholic versus NJ power the Patrick School (formerly St. Patrick’s). The third game is another Pennsylvania – Garden State clash with the host school Parkland against Gill St. Bernards with ESPN top 10 national sophomore Tyus Battle. The finale features two of the top big men in the country with Westtown and 7-foot-1 Jr.Georgios Papagiannis against Wilbraham & Monson and 6-foot-10 UNLV bound Goodluck Okonobah.
