FROM NAZARETH PATCH

Cyber Monday is fast approaching for anyone with enough stamina left after the weekend. (In some cases it’s already started). Thankfully, Cyber Monday doesn’t require nearly the same level of effort as does Thanksgivukkah orBlack Friday.

Still, a little bit of prep can go a long way even for an armchair shopping spree.

Here’s a breakdown of where to go for some of the best deals:

The big names:
The biggest names in Black Friday, Walmartand Amazon, both keep the discount party going for Cyber Week. Although the big tworeportedly have the best dealsKmart and Target are also sensible sites to kickoff your Cyber Monday shopping. Do price comparisons before you “proceed to checkout,” with websites likeThe Find or Price Grabber. But try not to dawdle – stuff sells out.

If you aren’t happy with what you find try these sites for ...
Deals on electronics:
Best Buy: In years past, Cyber Monday has been serious business at Best Buy. They promise deals on select versions of everything they sell: computers, TVs, video games, etc.
Overstock.com: When they have what you are looking for, Overstock can be heavenly for sales, even before the Cyber Monday discounts. But be wary, sometimes there’s a reason for the overstock.
GameStop: If history repeats itself, there’s some serious cash to be saved at Game Stop this week.
Deals on clothes: Cyber Monday is filled with deals for clothing and shoes.
Macy’s: Macy’s is always reliable for store-wide discounts on Cyber Monday. Click here for additional promotions and coupon codes.
JC Penney: The fact that JC Penney has a countdown clock to Cyber Monday speaks to their desire to play with the big boys.
Deals for the home:
Home Depot: If only I needed a refrigerator!
Deals on kid’s stuff:
Babies"R"Us: Big sales are expected on car seats, strollers and other baby necessities. Not the most exciting holiday gift, but a deal is a deal.
Toys"R"Us: An obvious place to go and they do have great deals, but shop carefully. According to an article in International Business Times, the toy giant has been charging 37 percent more, on average, for their video games than Amazon in the weeks leading up to Cyber Monday.
