Former Bethlehem Catholic High School and Drexel University wrestler Zach Makovsky defeated Matt Manzanares by unanimous decision to capture the vacant Resurrection Fighting Alliance (RFA) flyweight title on Nov. 22 at the 1st Bank Center in Broomfield, Colo.
Makovsky, the ex-Bellator bantamweight champion, used his superior wrestling skills along with some "ground and pound" en route to his main event victory. The win is Makovsky's second consecutive flyweight victory.
