CBS aired two of the most-anticipated football games of the early season and the result was impressive viewership numbers.
Saturday’s SEC blockbuster between Alabama and Texas A&M had an overnight rating of 9.0, the highest-rated college football game on the network in 23 years.
Yesterday’s NFL late national game, primarily the Broncos and Giants featuring Peyton and Eli Manning, gave CBS a rating of 17.8, the highest in 15 years and 24% above a year ago.
