ESPN Touts its Ranking Across Digital Platforms

ESPN Digital reported today that its platforms continues to rank number one in terms of average audience minutes, share of the audience and minutes per user.
From ESPN PR her are some other numbers from the network:
• Users watched 251 million ESPN digital video clips. 73% were viewed on computers, 16% on mobile devices and 10% on YouTube.1
• Viewers spent 476 million minutes with WatchESPN and ESPN3 live and on-demand programming across all platforms.1
• ESPN sent 2.8 billion alerts to 27 million people in July, up 71% from a year ago.
Event though ESPN has much to praise, it continues to lag in second behind Yahoo! Sports in terms of unique users each month.

ESPN Deportes and ESPNews Now Available on WatchESPN

ESPN continues to add more content to its WatchESPN online app.  The network today announced the availability of ESPN Deportes and ESPNEWS on WatchESPN.  The channels are now available online at WatchESPN.com, on smartphones and tablets via the award-winning WatchESPN app and on Apple TV.
“ESPN Deportes and ESPNEWS serve different audiences, and with today’s launch on WatchESPN, we’re now able to deliver both networks across all screens to their respective viewers,” said David Preschlack, executive vice president, Disney and ESPN Media Networks.  “At the same time, we are building greater value to the multichannel video subscription for customers of our distributors by adding a wider range of networks available on WatchESPN.”
In order for users to access the content online, it much authenticate that they are television subscribers of the networks.
